Stolen part 1 (Mark and Jack)

Mark's pov

It was so dark. My eyes burned from the tears. My body ached from running. I couldn't run anymore. That night… I lost everything.

Jack and me walked through the city. I was a nice day, weather was nice… it was peaceful. Jack was down from Ireland visiting me in LA. We were getting closer as two people. Jack and I talked as we walked down the street. He had been talking with such wonder and joy in his face. He wanted to move here in LA. Move close to me.


Jack sat down on  bench and stared out into the city, which was strangely empty. It was getting late so Jack and I decided we would head back to my place. I found myself leading according to that Jack didn't know his way around here yet.

It was dark and we were still awhile from my place. A dark colored vehicle sped down the road. Its breaks screeched as it stopped near us. Some guys wearing all black and masks jumped out and forcefully grabbed Jack. He screamed in pain and tried to get away. I started to go towards the one holding Jack when I was hit in the side of the head.

I collapsed to the ground. Everything started fading black. I kept regaining conscious and going unconscious. I seen the guys tie Jack up, then it was dark. I seen them close the trunk, then it went dark. I finally woke up completely and saw them driving off.

I darted up and ran toward the vehicle's taillights, the only thing I could see.

I screamed Jack's name out as I chased the car. It was pointless. I ran after the car but I lost it. I kept running in the direction it was driving but my legs finally gave out. I fell onto the cold ground. Tears burned out of my eyes and sweat fell down my face. I cried out Jack's name one last time before laying on the road.

I laid there, allowing the broken feeling to settle into my chest and stomach. I felt sick. Jack had just been kidnapped by people I didn't know. I didn't know what to do.
